A PERFECT WORLD

SHARED THOUGHTS by Pastor Bob

Those of you who visit our web site need to hear what a 7th grader is thinking. Sometimes we look at our young people and come to the belief they simply do not understand what we adults have to put up with. Yet in the following paragraph or two I think those of us who would like to claim adulthood need to listen or read carefully what Kaleb Jungclaus has written.

He speaks of issues we are all faced with and looks at them with the "hard eyes" of a young person who has not yet made the deals here and there with our faith, with our values, and/or with God. Perhaps we need to let his words sink deeply into our spirits and ask is what he is saying true? If it is, then we have a whole lot of scrambling to do to meet the God that Kaleb is following. Take time, let his words to us sink in ,and then ask if this is or isn't the God of our scriptures. I believe he has come very close to the true Spirit of the living Lord. What do you think?

A PERFECT WORLD

Kaleb Jungclaus

First, I don't really believe that anyone can truly describe a perfect world, seeing that we ourselves are so very imperfect. But I can say that in my opinion there are some things that we could probably say about a perfect world. God's commandments would be followed. People would love their neighbor as themselves, considering everyone their neighbor. The Ten Commandments would be a prime directive. His Word would be known by all and would be meditated on daily. There would be no wars or weapons of war. People would shun violence of any sort. World hunger would not exist for people would share and divide the food equally around the globe. No being would be considered any greater or lesser than any other. The rich would offer their fortunes to help those in need. People would solve disputes with mutually beneficial discussion, not harmful brawls. Everyone would do everything in their power to be good stewards of God's creation. People wouldn't litter, wouldn't pollute. They would find efficient and nature-friendly methods of generating energy. Everyone would keep his or her body in top physical shape. Genetic Engineering would be considered detestable, as it is tampering with His perfectly attuned created. People would put their minds together in a totally constructive fashion and find solutions to problems like cancer and AIDS.

These are some of the things I think would be in a perfect world. There are most likely some things, though, that would be beyond our comprehension. But these things shall undoubtedly be revealed at the End Of The Age.
